His Marathon Sex Sometimes Makes Me Faint -Wife Tells Court •It Can’t Kill Her

Posted by Unknown Minggu, 24 November 2013 0 komentar
A 45-year-old trader, Muina Adelami, has asked a Lagos family court in Lagos State to dissolve  her  eight-year-old  marriage to her husband, Shuaib, a clerical officer, on the ground that his sex drive was high.

“I  have managed to stay this long  in the marriage  because I thought his libido would  go down but that has not been the case.
“In the eight years of our marriage, we only have a child, I had two miscarriages  as a result of  excessive sex.’’

She informed the court further that her husband liked sex too much and gave  her no breathing space.

“We start having sex every night just before midnight  and this goes on till the early hours of the next day.  Many times, immediately  after he comes back  from work, he starts demanding for sex.

‘’He  will refuse to stand up even when I am crying and will start beating me whenever I complain.

“There were times I did  faint, but when I came around, he would start again.

“The way he’s going, he will kill me. I now look older than my age mates due to too much sex,” she said.

In his defence, Shuaib admitted to having a high sex drive, but added that it was his right to made love with his wife.

“I was advised to marry a younger wife but I cannot afford that, that is why I take care of her and give her everything she wants.

“I have been trying to change her mind on the issue of divorce, but she is adamant. I love her and would not want to divorce her. I also know that sex can’t kill her,” he said.

The case was adjourned till December 4.

9ice Didn't Know His Father Until He Was 22

Posted by Unknown 0 komentar

Popular Naija musician, 9ice, says he is back and better. In a recent with Punch's Nonye Ben Nwakwo, he also revealed certain issues about his personal life that many do not know about him. Brief excerpt below:

Now that you are back, should these small artistes making waves be scared?
We are not on the same level. They are in the river and I am in the ocean. Let them just do their thing. I am on a different level. They are making money. That is nice. They don’t disturb me and I don’t disturb them either

Why did you deny you had twins when they were born?
I did say I didn’t have twins then because I believe it was personal. If I have N1m, I think it is only my account’s officer that should know how much I have. In fact, he wouldn’t even have the right to check my account unless I ask him to do that. He couldn’t just cull up my account details and start checking how much I have. This is not a car we are talking about, these are human beings.

When they grow up, do you think they will forgive you when they read that you once denied them?
I will tell them the reason I did that. It was the same way my father gave me his own reasons. I didn’t know him until I was 22. I got to know my mother when I was 18.

They gave me their reasons for doing what they did. I asked my father where he was all the time I was growing up and he told me where and how and when he was a part of my life. If my kids grow up to ask me why I did what I did, I would certainly explain to them. I didn’t say I didn’t have kids just because I wanted to lie, No. I had my reasons. I had my life to live.

This pretty girl died after Sleeping with Alhaji and his monkey

Posted by Unknown 0 komentar
Cynthia, as we gathered, was picked up by an Alhaji, and after they had fun, he took her to his guest house, and gave her $2000 to suck and sleep with his monkey. She refused at first but after looking at the money again, she concurred.
After the ordeal the alhaji went to drop her and drove off and few hours later she started complaining of stomach ache, she thought it was a normal thing, but from the few things we gathered from the source, fews hours later, maggots started coming out from her private parts; her friend tried to rush her to the hospital but it was too late. She died before they could do anything.
‘It is true the poverty level of the country is driving everyone mad, but Nigerian ladies need to be careful with some extremities in their search for a means of livelihood’.
So much information wasn’t released concerning the lady, and it’s very understandable judging by the circumstances surrounding her death. Prayer is for her to find rest, even in death

[Video] Man Who Boko Haram Shot In The Head For Not Denying Jesus Survives

Posted by Unknown Jumat, 22 November 2013 0 komentar
This man, Habila Adamu, was shot in his head after he refused to deny Christ by Boko Haram militants in Nigeria. But he survived and he shared his experience with Foreign Christain website, iPostChristainPost.com

Boko Haram is an Islamic jihadist militant organization based in the northeast Nigeria. The group came to Adamu because he is a Christian.

“They wanted me to deny Jesus. They want to ‘Islamitize’ Nigeria. That is why they are targeting Christians,” he said in a CBN video posted on YouTube.

“If you agree to deny your faith you will be safe. If you don’t agree to do it, they will kill you,” he added.
And that is how he answered why he chose to stand his ground and refused to deny Christ.
“What can separate us from the love of Christ? Is it hardship? Is it persecution? Is it sword? No. Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ,” he said.

“Christ did something for me and all the people in the world. We are sinners! We are condemned criminals! We are supposed to die! But He took all these burdens! He paid for our debts! He died for us! Why can I not submit to Jesus? That is what I did. I stood for him!”

Time To Go Bra-less, Wearing Bra Makes The Breast Sag

Posted by Unknown 0 komentar

It is time to let go the expensive BRAs we keep as they seem to have no real benefits—except probably being sexy lingerie…

According to scientists, brassieres increase sagging of our "orange"ies and don’t alleviate back pain, contrary to what we have been for years.

Wearing a bra does nothing to decrease back pain, and the support offered by a brassiere actually encourages the breasts to sag so if you are worried about sagging, it is time to ditch the bra.

A 15-year study led by Jean-Denis Rouillon, from the University of Besançon in eastern France, found that “bras are a false necessity.”

“Medically, physiologically, anatomically – breasts gain no benefit from being denied gravity. On the contrary, they get saggier with a bra,” Rouillon, a Sports Science expert, told France Info radio.

To come to this conclusion, Rouillon spent a decade and a half measuring the changes in breasts of hundreds of women- between the ages of 18 and 35 using a slide rule and caliper at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire in Besançon.

Of the braless women, the researchers concluded that “on average their chests lifted on average seven millimeters in one year in relation to the shoulders.”

According to a 28-year-old woman who took part in the study and who has not worn a bra for two years now, there is no way she will be going back to wearing a bra.

She told France Info Radio that “There are multiple benefits: I breathe more easily, I carry myself better, and I have less back pain”.

I am not buying any more bras again and in fact without them, my nips are able to stand up straight—bringing me all the attention I deserve.

Meet Some Of Nigeria’s Highest Paid CEOs

Posted by Unknown 0 komentar

Leadership has unveiled some of Nigeria's highest paid CEOs and the stories behind their rise to the top, based on authoritative reports, between 2009 and 2012. Read below

Culled from Leadership

Being a successful and influential chief executive officer takes hard work, guts, sacrifice and a more-than-average knowledge of how the business environment works. Many who wish to be successful and influential wonder how others have achieved great things, thinking such feats are impossible in their bid to toe same path.

Nigeria boasts a slew of successful CEOs in almost every sector – banking, oil and gas, sports, health and manufacturing. LEADERSHIP Friday unveils some of them. Find the report after the cut...

CEO, Stanbic IBTC, Sola David-Borha
As the managing director/CEO of Stanbic IBTC Holdings Plc, David-Borha is one of the country’s highly-rated bankers. She is the highest paid director in Nigeria’s banking sector, with an annual remuneration of N177m. When broken down, this becomes N484, 931 daily, including weekends when may have no reason to go to work.

David-Borha has patiently risen through the ranks to get to where she is today. She was, at different times, responsible for overseeing the corporate finance and corporate banking, projects and structure finance, as well as asset management and private banking departments. At a time, she bore the burden of supervising treasury and finance services department.

David-Borha also headed the correspondent banking relationships’ department at Stanbic IBTC and served as a member of the executive committee. She was appointed to the bank’s board in 1994 and has held other positions, including a spell as director of Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc, Stanbic Nominees Nigeria Limited and Stanbic IBTC Stockbrokers Limited. She was also appointed a member of the board of Financial Institutions Training Centre (FITC).  She did not miss serving as a member of the bank’s board credit, board nominations and risk management committees.
Having passed through these stages before rising to the pinnacle, David- Borha can be said to have, indeed, paid her dues and can be said to have exhibited a great degree of competence, experience, long career plan and hard work to get to her present position.

CEO, Mobil Oil Nigeria Limited, Tunji Oyebanji
Mobil Oil Nigeria (MON) is one of Nigeria’s major petroleum products marketing companies. As its chief executive officer, Oyebanji is on an annual remuneration of N85m. When broken down, this amounts to a daily pay of about N231, 956.

As chairman/CEO/managing director of MON, there is no doubt that Oyebanji’s hard-work, commitment and dedication has been largely responsible for the turn-around which the company’s fortune has experienced, making it stand tall among other competing oil corporates.
The company now operates more than 200 retail outlets spread across the 36 states of Nigeria and the Fedeeral Capital Territory; it owns three plants (in Apapa, Lagos State) where lubricants, petroleum jelly and insecticides are manufactured.

As at 2011, MON had an annual turn-over of N63.1bn, from N58.34bn in 2010. With a combined dividend per share of N5 and bonus issue of one for five shares, MON has, arguably, the industry’s highest priced stock.

CEO, GTBank, Olusegun Agbaje
The managing director/CEO of Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB), Olusegun J.K. Agbaje, is rated as one of the country’s highest paid CEOs. His GTB prides itself as “the biggest and most profitable bank in Nigeria” and one of the biggest companies on the shores of West Africa. Agbaje co-founded the GTB in 1990 with Tayo Aderinokun who died in 2011.His annual take-home is a whopping N77m.
Before assuming the current position, Agbaje was the deputy managing director of the bank between August 2002 and April 20, 2011. He has also served as the divisional head of the bank’s institutional banking division and also as acting MD of GTB (Ghana) Limited, from April 20, 2011.

Interestingly, Agbaje has served in a number of capacities before becoming the man at the helm of the bank’s affairs. He was, at different points in his career; member, Assets and Liability Management Committee; member, Criticised Assets Committee; member, Board, Information Technology Strategy Committee and member, Board, Risk Management Committee.

On his way to the top, Agbaje also served as member, board, Human Resources and Nomination Committee; member, Management Risk Committee and member, Management Credit Committee.  Experience garnered from serving in these committees helped, in no small measure, in preparing him for the current position of CEO.

CEO, Oando Plc, Jubril Adewale Tinubu
According to recent financial reports, the second highest paid CEO in the oil sector is Wale Tinubu, with a total annual remuneration of N69m, an equivalent of N189, 041 per day.
Tinubu is the group chief executive of the company which has been hailed as Africa’s leading indigenous energy solutions provider listed on the stock exchange in Nigeria and Johannesburg. Tinubu also has a record of long-time service, having served on the board of various blue-chip companies as chairman and director.
His outstanding performance has won him several awards, among which are; Africa’s Business Leader of the Year awarded by the African Business Magazine and the Commonwealth Council on the basis of his contributions to the development of the African oil and gas sector in 2010. He won the same accolade in 2011, courtesy of the African Investor.

These accolades are proof that Tinubu’s ascension to the pinnacle of the administrative ladder in Oando was no fluke but a function of his doggedness and hard-work. Tinubu also holds key positions in a number of major financial institutions.

CEO, Forte Oil Plc, Akin Akinfemiwa
Forte Oil Plc. (formally African Petroleum Plc.) is a foremost indigenous major marketer of refined petroleum products with strong presence in the 36 states of the federation and Abuja. According to recent reports, as its group chief executive officer, Akinfemiwa’s annual salary is N64m (N175, 342 per day).

Prior to this appointment, Akinfemiwa had a successful career in the banking sector. He served as the CEO of Sky Bank Plc, until July 31, 2010. His expertise covers a range of areas, including; strategic planning and management, corporate banking, project financing, leadership and advisory services. He has also served as managing director/CEO of Prudent Bank.

Akinfemiwa has now brought his hard-work to bear on the fortunes of Forte Oil Plc. The public liability company which is quoted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) has over 500 dealer-assisted and dealer-developed retail outlets spread across the country.

CEO, UBA, Phillips Oduoza
Phillips Oduoza is the chief executive officer, group managing director, and an executive director of the United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc. He is one of the highest paid CEOs in the banking sector, with an annual remuneration of N57m (as at 2010). It suffices to say that Oduoza is one of the few who can beat their chest in fulfilment of a banking career.

He became the CEO and managing director of the bank in August 2010 and has served as its deputy managing director (South) from the 2005. Besides having the honour of having gained monumental experience from working across different banks for more than 20 years, he has served also as the bank’s executive director of Retail Financial Services. UBA’s fortune, no doubt, has snow-balled, with results from his professional services and investment of talents as proof.

His services in the bank cut across membership of the board risk committee and financial and general purpose committee. Before assuming the position of CEO, he served as deputy managing director of the bank. Among many other designations, he was an executive director of the defunct Standard Trust Bank (STB) which was acquired by the UBA in the thick of the consolidation exercise introduced by the then-governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo.

CEO, Ecobank Nigeria, Jubril Aku
According to a Banks’ Financial Transparency report, as at 2009, the bank ranked second on the list of highest paid bank CEOs in Nigeria, with N88m per annum as salary for its CEO. But the bank reportedly slashed the CEO’s emolument to N38m per annum, perhaps, as a measure against financial stress.

Jubril Aku is the chief executive officer (CEO) of Ecobank Nigeria Plc. He has been its managing director since March 2010. Aku served as acting treasurer, Citibank, Tanzania and as country treasurer, Citibank Nigeria Plc.

He began his banking career in 1979 with the United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc., where he worked for three years from September, 1986 to December, 1989. He served at the Continental Merchant Bank Plc., where he worked as a credit and investment analyst.
Aku has served in various capacities with different financial institutions and is, by all standards, an accomplished banker.

Au’s academic brilliance has earned him several accolades, among which are the First Bank of Nigeria Plc Prize for the Best Graduating Student in Banking and Finance at the Ahmadu Bello University, from where he graduated with honours in 1986.

CEO, Zenith Bank, Godwin Emefiele
The CEO and group managing director of Zenith Bank Plc, Godwin Emefiele, is also one of the highest paid CEOs of Nigerian companies. Emefiele succeeded the pioneer CEO of the bank, Jim Ovia, in August 2010. By his current position in the bank’s hierarchy and the number of branches it can bboast of within the country and in West Africa, it is evident that Emefiele is fulfilled.

Prior to his choice of banking as a career in Zenith Bank, Emefiele was a lecturer in University of Nigeria and University of Port Harcourt where he taught Finance, Bank Management and Insurance. However, he later left the academia for banking. He joined Zenith as a pioneer staff over 22 years ago and has proved his worth in advancing the bank as well as increasing its fortunes and profitability. In 2001, he was appointed deputy managing director before succeeding Ovia three years ago.

He has also served as member of Executive Committee, member of Board Credit Committee, member of Staff Matters, Finance and General Purpose Committee and member of Board Risk Management Committee.  Emefiele’s services and impact were also felt in Management Global Credit Committee, Risk Management committee, Assets and Liabilities Committee and Information Technology Steering Committee where he served as member.

The advancements made by the bank are not without the inputs of Emefiele who served as executive director in charge of corporate banking. He as well served in the treasury, financial control and strategic planning department. He has been in the management team of Zenith Bank from its inception.

Man Wants Divorce Because Wife Beats Him

Posted by Unknown 0 komentar

A 75-year-old man, Fashola Fakorede, begged Igando Customary Court, Lagos, to dissolve his marriage to his wife, Funke, 49, over Funke beating him.

Fakorede told the court that his wife had turned him into a punching bag and also inflict injuries over his body.

“My wife wants to kill me, she beats me every day. I don’t want to die now, save my life.”

He claims his wife beats him if he asks for food or anything and laments that she has made it a routine affair.

Fashola adds that his wife doesn’t care about him any more, noting that she can be absent for several days and if he queries her, she will hit him with any dangerous weapon available.

“And my daughter is also taking her footstep. She brings home different men and my wife will not query her. So, I sent her away from my house,” he said.

The man says he doesn’t love her any more and wants a divorce.

Funke, a trader, denied the allegations, saying she did not beat her husband and always took good care of him and respected him.

The mother of three, however, accused her husband of denying his children the right to go to school.

She also added that her husband had disowned his daughter, and urged the court not to grant his wish as she still loved him.

The judge, Mr. R. I. Adeyeri, adjourned the case till November 25 for further hearing.

Abubakar said in an interview with Vanguard, yesterday, in Bauchi that the National Executive Committee of the union only adjourned its meeting for seven days to enable it mourn Prof Festus Iyayi who died in an auto crash involving the entourage of the Kogi State Governor, Capt. Mega-rich Arab Men Show Off Their ‘Ultimate Status Symbols’… Super Cars And Big Cats!

Posted by Unknown Senin, 18 November 2013 0 komentar

article-2509151-1979D9E900000578-90

Rich people in Nigeria show off their homes, cars, Rolex watches, etc…but mega-rich Arab men are on a different level. They are accessorising their super cars & powerboats with lions and cheetahs.

From  UK Daily Mail
For mega-wealthy young men of the Gulf Arab states nothing says ‘I am rich’ more aptly than to Instagram yourself and your lion or cheetah posing alongside your Mercedes or Lamborghini or motoring along in a speedboat.
Showing off the Persian Gulf’s latest ‘ultimate status symbol’, the penchant for posting big cat photos on Instagram betrays the young men’s sheer bravado or stupidity, depending on your point of view. Indeed, while the intimacy on display the owners seem to share with their cats is clearly touching, others could possibly think of better ways to flaunt their wealth than sharing feeding time or bathing with fully grown 400pound lions

Eagerly followed by over 250,000 followers on the popular photo-sharing website, Humaid AlBuQaish, has become cult viewing as he regularly posts himself and his big cats online.
While it is not entirely clear what AlBuQaish does for a living or how he accumulated his fabulous wealth and pets, it is clear that he lives a life of luxury that most can only dream of.

Trusting his cats implicitly, AlBuQaish is pictured feeding his menagerie of lethal predators and wrestling with them – all the while showing off the fact that he owns such magnificent creatures.
Engaging in one-upmanship online, others have posted pictures of their big cats being taken for a spin in a speedboat – while others are happy to place their heads into their prized possession’s mouth.
The trade in big cats in the Gulf reflects how status among the wealthy is all important, where a rare white lion will sell for around $50,000.

Nigeria Banks To Shutdown Nationwide

Posted by Unknown 0 komentar
A major crisis looms in the financial sector, as all banks in the country may shut their doors to customers anytime this week, as their chief executive officers (CEOs) move to protest the continued detention of their staff by the Department of State Security (DSS).
ngbanks1
Daily Sun gathered that the CEOs are irked by the arrest and detention of several key officials of no fewer than 13 banks over the last two weeks by security operatives, saying that this has not only crippled their operations but also poses a great risk if normal banking operations continues.
The 13 banks directly affected by the arrests are Zenith Bank, Access Bank, Fidelity Bank, Unity Bank, First City Monument Bank (FCMB), First Bank Plc, Skye Bank, Sterling Bank, Diamond Bank, Ecobank, Wema Bank, Guaranty Trust Bank and CitiBank.
The arrest of the bank officials are linked to money laundering case against the Jigawa State governor, Alhaji Sule Lamido, a key member of the G7 governors, who is also one of the arrowheads of the New PDP believed to be opposed to President Goodluck Jonathan’s rumoured second term ambition.
The DSS is said to be investigating questionable transactions involving the governor and two of his sons, Aminu and Mustapha, who is the District Head of Bamaina, their hometown. While the governor is said to have escaped arrest, as a result of his constitutional immunity, his two sons were arrested last week by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). However, it is the DSS that is handling the case of the bankers.
According to the DSS, following the arrest of Aminu, last year, at the Aminu Kano International Airport Kano, for failing to make full declaration of the $50, 000 he had on him while trying to board a flight to Egypt, where his wife was receiving treatment, further investigation of the sources of income of the governor’s son revealed huge transactions involving the movement of Jigawa State funds into accounts of companies in which both the governor and his two sons are believed to have interest. The amount involved, according to the DSS, is about N10 billion.
The DSS had subsequently swooped on the 13 banks in which the companies have accounts and even obtained a court order to freeze the accounts. Also, it had begun a systematic arrest and detention of senior officials of the bank in the last two weeks.
While not questioning the powers of the DSS to arrest anybody, a source close to one of the bank chief executive told Daily Sun yesterday that the CEOs were worried that the bankers have been held without arraignment, for over two weeks, a clear violation of their rights.
“The laws of the country say that nobody can be detained for more than 48 hours without been charged to court,” the source said, adding: “Some of them have now been detained for 16 days without access to their families or lawyers. They are being held incommunicado.”
According to him, the bank chiefs, some of who met last weekend, are saying that they might not have any other choice than to shut down operations, as some of the officials being detained are key to their operations.
“One of those arrested is a director. Some others are risk managers, fraud control and detection officers, zonal and regional coordinators and key IT experts. There are compliance managers among the arrested. There are also account officers, branch managers, chief inspectors and heads of treasury among those arrested. To continue to operate without these key personnel could expose depositors’ funds to serious danger. So, the bank CEOs are thinking it might be safer to close shop to secure depositors’ funds and reduce expose to a possible collapse of the nation’s banking system,” the senior bank sour said.
Apart from the risk of possible compromise of the system, the bank chiefs are also frowning at the propriety of the DSS action. They fear that, unlike the EFCC and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), which have the wherewithal to investigate bank transactions and fraud, the DSS may not be threading on a familiar turf.
The source said: “The banks daily, and statutorily, report transactions and fraud alerts to both the EFCC and the CBN. If there is any suspicion over such transactions, the DSS can crosscheck and verify with both the EFCC and the CBN. It is rather shocking that the investigation of transactions by companies of the sons of the Jigawa State governor would warrant such mindless and elaborate disruption of banking operations in 13 banks, which is what this arrest and continued detention of these critical bank official amount.”
Another source close to a bank CEO said the manner of arrest was an issue also. According to him, the idea of literally kidnapping these bankers and traumatising their families is particularly unfair.
“Even though none of the officials was said to have resisted arrest or refused to co-operate with the security operative, the security personnel still hounded them down like common criminals. Some were aroused from sleep, with machine guns pointed at them and their family members,” the source stated.
He particularly pointed to a case in Lagos, where the child of the affected officer was rudely awoken from sleep by scores of gun-wielding operatives, who were turning their home upside-down, allegedly searching for documents.
According to him, another of the bankers arrested in Lagos was eventually moved to Abuja in a military aircraft.
He said the bank chiefs, who are seriously considering the option of closing shop and going on strike may make true their threat anytime between today and Wednesday, to secure depositors’ funds, which, he said, have been exposed to grave danger, by the arrests.
When contacted on the development last night, a highly placed officer of the DSS said the service was unmoved by the threat of the strike,
“I dare them to try it. Nigeria will not collapse. We might be forced to go public with information we have on what they are doing, both the governors and the bank chiefs. If you tell Nigerians the whole truth the citizens of some of these states would want to stone their governors. It’s not only the Jigawa case. Many governors are also into it. Also, it is not about, nor is it restricted to G7 governors. It cuts across.”
On the propriety of the DSS investigating and arresting bankers, the officials directed the CEOs to the statues setting up the service.
“Our brief covers what we are doing. We are empowered to investigate both security and financial crimes that could have security implications,” he insisted.
He further asked: “How can somebody steal as much as N75billion that has the capacity to upturn the entire economy and you say you can’t investigate?”
He said that era of people using strike and all manner of threat to blackmail security officials from uncovering their dubious ways have passed. “Let them go on strike and we would get our bosses to address a press conference to go public with what we have uncovered,” he fired back.
Daily Sun gathered that the law actually empowers DSS to probe financial crime. Instrument 1 of May 1999 empowers the service to carry out the prevention, detection and investigation of: a) Threat of espionage; b) threat of subversion; c) threat of sabotage; d) economic crimes of national security dimension; e) terrorist activities; f) separatist and inter-group conflicts; g) threat to law and order.
All efforts to get the CBN to comment on the development proved abortive, as calls to the line of the apex bank’s governor kept saying it was switched off.
Similarly, he was yet to reply an SMS to that effect as at press time last night.

Blogger Claims Using Rubber Thread On Your Hair Is Demonic and May Lead You To Hell

Posted by Unknown Minggu, 17 November 2013 0 komentar
rubberhair
I want you all to know that, you can deceive human but you cannot deceive God. The Lord never makes a mistake when warning us to be contended with whatsoever he has given to us. Then why can’t you leave your natural hair, you have being hearing different warning from different testimonies concerning the use of rubber thread, then why can’t you sit on your own and ask yourself these question;
What if what they are saying concerning rubber tread leading people to hell were true?
What if I appear in the great white judgment throne and the lord said I cannot enter through the gate because the natural hair he gave to me has been defiled with satanic devices? And anything defiled cannot enter (Rev21:27)
What if satan appears and tell you that thread you add to your hair belong to him, (Ezk7:19) so you belong to me?
Many will try to enter through the gate but will not be able to (Luke 13:24) .
There is nothing like low quality attachment or High quality attachment which some born-again Christians believe. The both were made with the same rubber. The same condemnation awaits the users of both. Normal attachment was made from ordinary rubber, and was attached to your hair, so also the rubber thread was also made from rubber and attached to your hair, the same judgment awaits you.
It was only made with rubber, but the demonic covenant attached to its user is, whosoever make use of it, her appearance before God will be like the appearance of Medusa, a woman with snake hair.
Many born-again will end up in hell because of ordinary thread. Be careful, satan still hunt you, he never rests.
WHOSOEVER MAKES USE OF ANY FORM OF ATTACHMENT, YOUR APPEARANCE BEFORE GOD IS LIKE MEDUSA, BELIEVE OR NOT I DON’T CARE.

ASUU STRIKE: 15 things every student must do before the STRIKE is over

Posted by Unknown Sabtu, 16 November 2013 0 komentar
BY Sam O Salau
asuuEvery Nigerian student who should be in school but is presently at home because of ASUU strike must make use of this strike to their advantage. Rather than allow their destinies to be jeopardized, they can turn this situation around in their own favor. These are 15 things every student must do before the ASUU strike is over.
1. CATCH UP ON LOST ACADEMIC WORK
If there was any academic related work that you missed while school was still in session, you do not have to wait until school resumes to catch up on them. Use this god-given opportunity (or rather ASUU-FG created opportunity) to your advantage. If you missed a class note, update your notes. Do all the omitted assignments. Write your lab reports. Complete your class projects. Do your team works. Perfect your field exercise. All of this will make you readily prepared for resumption once the strike is called off.

2. DEVELOP A TALENT

If you had ever felt school was boring to you, and that you would have loved to develop an inborn talent, but the enormous challenges of academic work will not allow you devote time to channel your energy towards a god given dream, then you no longer have any excuse. Maximize this period to develop this god given talent and make sure you achieve a part of, if not all of that dream before school resumes.
Write that book and publish it.
Go to studio with that song and release at least a track, if not the complete album.
Produce that video.
Join a football club and make a name.
Whatever your talent is, do something about it before the strike is over.
3. LEARN A SKILL
If you have never thought about a specific talent in your life, you likely may say there is none to develop. That will still not be an excuse for you to waste these precious moments. Go learn a skill. Look for something new to add to your life. Learn a skill that will be relevant to your future.
Learn how to drive.
Learn how to swim.
Learn to make beads.
Learn how to sow dresses.
Learn hair dressing.
Learn event decoration.
Learn photography.
Learn publishing.
If you don’t find something to learn, go learn how to cook (funny as it sounds). Just make sure you learn a skill.

4. ORGANISE YOUR SCHOOL MATERIALS

The best time to get yourself organized for resumption is now that there is still time to play around. Gather up all your scattered school materials and arrange them in a safe place. You do not want to be looking for a textbook or an important school note when school resumes, only to find out that it has been carelessly soiled with oil in the kitchen, or some pages torn away by a sibling. Keep all of your school material in one place so you can easily access them whenever the Almighty ASUU and the Controller Generals of the nation decides to settle their scores, be it political or otherwise. It’s time to do some more important things with your life.
5. ENGAGE IN CONSTANT WEEKLY REVISION
Do not just put your academic life on hold for now because of the strike. Constantly engage in revisions. Spread the courses you offer in school over a period of time. Say, if you have registered for eight courses this semester, spread them over eight weeks. This means you will need to study one course per week. So, dedicate at least one day in each week for the study of this course. This way, you likely may be able to cover all your courses before the strike is called off, and you will be in a better academic shape once school resumes. Take advantage of this period to give yourself an academic lift. If every student will do this, this can be their best semester so far.

6. DO A PROFESSIONAL COURSE

Life is not just about certificates; some professional courses carry much more weight than B.Sc, or at least, add to the weight of your degree. Intentionally go in search of such courses and register for them. They do not cost a fortune. Moreover, it is better than just sleeping and waking and hoping that Uncle GEJ will change his mind very soon about his stand on ASUU demands. Invest your time in a professional course organized by the professional body of the course you are studying in school. Even if you do not complete the course before resumption, their schedule is so flexible that you can still combine it with your normal academic schedule.
7. PROJECT INTO THE FUTURE
Most students do not have a well-planned out life. They just hope that life will be fair on them once they graduate from the university. If you are also one of such, this is the best time to spend enough time to plan your future and rightly channel it the way you desire it goes. What will you like to do after graduation? Service year is the ready answer in your mind! What if Service is delayed by a year, what will you do with the time? If Service eventually comes, what will you do during service year? Will you consider any pet project? What will it be about? How will you raise fund for it? What happens after Service year? Which organization will you like to work with? Do they have a specific requirement? How do you meet that requirement in order to make your dream of working with them possible? There are a million and one questions that need to be answered before time, and this is the best time to do that. And do not forget to add this all important question “at what stage after graduation do I want to be married?”

8. UPDATE YOUR KNOWLEDGE ABOUT COMPUTERS

It is sad to note that while kindergartens in the developed world are already being introduced to computers, there are still final year students in our universities who do not know how to use one of the most common applications on the computer – Microsoft Word. The closest they have ever gotten to the IT world is to check their facebook page on their java phones or reply their emails using the opera mini on same phone. Please, do not pretend to know what you do not know; go update your computer knowledge. If you don’t, you will not know what you have missed until it is almost over for you.
9. ATTEND DEVELOPMENTAL SEMINARS
You will also need to attend as many developmental seminars and conferences as you can find around you. Some of them will cost some money. However, you will also find some of them free of all charge. These seminars will help you to become a better person and prepare you for the challenges of the labour market, challenges of marriage, and every other challenges that may come your way.
10. GET A PAID EMPLOYMENT
If you feel you will be better off with some extra fund every month, then you may consider getting a paid employment. Although, no company will offer you the mouthwatering offer they give to their new intakes, no matter what level you are in the university (do not forget you are just a bloody undergraduate), but at least, whatever you get at the end of every month should save you the embarrassment of having to call all the uncles you have in the world just to renew your BIS, and you will still have some change to play around with. However, whether what they pay you will be worth your time and your effort is left for you to decide.

11. CATCH SOME FUN

All work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy. Do not be a Jack; catch some fun. Take a weekend out to visit an uncle outside your place of residence. Check on a long-forgotten relative. Attend a family function, say wedding, house warming etc. Visit the zoo. Go check out the National museum. Go for a midweek service in a big church that is far away from your home church. Give yourself a treat in an eatery. Go to a recreation center. Visit the beach on a quiet day. Whatever you can do to catch some fun, please do. It is good for your health.
12. PRAY
Take time out to pray. There are so many things you can pray about at your age. Pray for your future. Pray for your relationships. Pray for your academics. Pray for your family. More importantly, pray that God should intervene and bring a solution to the academic situation of the country so that school can resume back on time.

13. GET CLOSER TO GOD

There is no better time in your life to start a relationship with God than now. If you do not have a relationship with him, you should begin to reconsider your stand now. Those who do not give God their audience while on campus do not get his attention after graduating from campus. If you have a relationship with Him already, be more committed to the relationship.

14. READ STUDENTS SELF HELP BOOKS

STUDENTS SELF-HELP BOOKS (SSHB) authored by Sam O. There is someone on your network who needs it much more than you do. Let them also take advantage of this strike period to better their lives.

Troubled superstar, Chris Brown’s rehab stay ended up way shorter than the rumored 90-day lock up.
Read below how E! reports it: -
A rep for the singer confirmed Thursday (Nov. 14) that Brown left inpatient treatment. “Chris is continuing his rehab program as an outpatient and is also completing his community service in the Los Angeles area,” the spokesperson said in a statement. “He appreciates all of your encouragement and support.”
Mark Geragos, Brown’s lawyer, told TMZ that the Virginia native left the undisclosed facility in order to begin community service stemming from his 2009 assault on Rihanna.
Although it is unclear exactly when he left rehab, Brown was spotted at dinner in L.A. with girlfriend Karrueche Tran Wednesday (Nov. 13) night and posed for a fan photo.
Ironically, taking pictures is what led to the “Love More” singer’s decision to seek treatment in the first place. The Grammy winner was arrested for felony assault in late October after he allegedly attacked a male fan who tried to jump in a photo. Brown reportedly told the fan, “I’m not into this gay s–t, I’m into boxing,” before punching him.
A day after appearing in court over the incident, Brown announced that he was seeking treatment to “gain focus and insight into his past and recent behavior.”

Messi Celebrates 10 Years Since Debuting with Barca

November 16, 2013 marks the 10th anniversary of Lionel Messi’s first-team debut with Barcelona, when a 16-year-old from Argentina came on as substitute during a friendly against Porto in Portugal.
“It was a very important moment in my career because I realised a dream that I had had since I was very young.
“I had fought hard to reach this moment, and it was very special,” Messi told Barca TV in an interview.
Barca’s Dutch coach Frank Rijkaard brought on Messi for Fernando Navarro in the 75th minute of the inaugural match at the Dragao Stadium in 2003, against a Porto side managed by Jose Mourinho.
Wearing the number 14 shirt, the floppy-haired youngster (pictured) showed a few flashes of his talent, but Barca lost the game 2-0.
“We enjoyed the game, the experience with the first team, travelling and so on, because it was new for all of us, but when we returned we kept our heads focused on the Juvenile A team,” Messi said.
“(My parents and the coaches) told me to enjoy everything I was experiencing and that there was no reason to change, that I should continue in the same vein.
“I think I am still the same person. I still view things the same way, but many years have passed now and I have continued growing, learning and valuing everything.”
The 26 years old Argentine is Barca’s leading scorer of all time in the league.
He is in the running for a fifth World Player of the Year award in January but has been knocked off his stride by a hamstring injury that is expected to keep him on the sidelines for six to eight weeks.
Meanwhile, Barcelona leads the standings, three points ahead of Atletico Madrid, and six points ahead of arch-rivals Real Madrid in third.
They have already qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League which resumes in February, and meet third-tier Cartagena in the last 32 of the King’s Cup in December

Armed Robber Beaten And Set on fire in GHANA

Posted by Unknown 0 komentar

A man believed to be in his late thirties was lynched at Ashaiman New Town yesterday after he attempted to rob an MTN sales point at gunpoint. He was in the company of two others during the robbery operation but he was not lucky, as he was grabbed by an angry mob and subsequently beaten and set on fire. The robber, who gave his name as Romeo, claimed to be a resident of Kasoa Barrier in the Central Region.A Nigerian gang member who resides at Ashaiman Tulaku barrier, according to the deceased, gave information about the sales point. A security man, sales personnel and a customer were held hostage by the robbers at the sales point, which had recently experienced two separate robberies, with the robbers taking away thousands of Ghana Cedis. The robbers demanded money and other valuables, while one waited in a blue-black Toyota Corolla saloon car in front of the sales point, after they had entered the place at about 8:30am under the pretext of transacting business. Linda Asamoah, a sales attendant, was in the inner chamber of the sales point which had been divided into two with glass. This prevented the robbers from entering where the money was being kept. Linda made a quick phone call to a friend nearby who promptly raised the alarm which attracted the crowd. The driver of the get-away car, sensing danger, drove off, leaving his colleagues in the office block, upon hearing the alarm. However, one of the robbers managed to jump on top of the bonnet of the vehicle and fled with the driver. While escaping, the driver fired shots, with a bullet hitting a glass door of another shop, Maranatha Photo and Barbering Salon, near the scene. Luck however eluded Romeo, who was not able to catch up quickly with the vehicle, as he was pursued by the mob after he took to his heels from the sales point until he was apprehended. Petrol Blaze He was subjected to severe beatings with clubs, metals, golf bats and cement blocks among other implements before finally being set ablaze and left to burn in the middle of the street. Romeo, however, managed to roll over his body until the fire went out while bleeding profusely, mostly from his head. The incident attracted hundreds of persons who thronged the scene to either unleash their anger on the suspect or catch a glimpse of the deceased after he was killed. Linda Asamoah, the sales girl, narrated to DAILY GUIDE: “I was at the office when one robber came that he wanted to receive mobile money transfer and I told him the network was down so he should go and return later.” According to her, another armed robber came to join his colleague, pulled out a pistol and quickly demanded money and other items. On his part, Romeo jumped over the counter after they had locked themselves in one of the glass apartments. She further narrated: “It was when he was trying to open the glass door to where we kept the money that I called a friend who shouted ‘thief, thief’ before the area boys came around.” Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Emmanuel Tetteh Yarkah confirmed the incident to DAILY GUIDE, and added that the police arrived to find the lifeless body of the suspected robber in a pool of blood. According to him, the corpse had been conveyed to the Police Hospital morgue in Accra for possible identification, further investigations and autopsy. He noted that upon preliminary investigations, the police retrieved a pistol and live ammunition in a bag which was abandoned on the street by the deceased while he was running away from the fuming mob. Ashaiman Newtown and its environs are under frequent siege by armed robbers, putting the area youth under constant alert.

Manchester United has reported record revenue of £98.5m for the first three months of its financial year.

There were 12 new sponsorship deals signed, including one with Russian airline Aeroflot.
The club predicts revenues for the whole year of £420-430m, bringing it closer to Europe’s wealthiest clubs, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Manchester United – which is controlled by the US-based Glazer family – also welcomed the latest broadcast deal under which BT Sport paid nearly £900m for a three-year deal to broadcast live Champions League and Europa League matches.
United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward said in a statement: “This deal represents a meaningful increase over the current arrangement, which should translate into higher broadcasting revenue for the participating clubs.”
The club said 12 new sponsorship deals were activated in the quarter with a range of companies, including Russian airline Aeroflot and the soft drinks company PepsiCo.
Licensing of clothing and other products brought in £10.7m, a rise of 13.8% on last year, and broadcasting revenue rose 41% to £19.3m,
Richard Hunter, head of equities at Hargreaves Lansdown Stockbrokers, said commented “Manchester United’s stuttering start to the domestic season is in stark contrast to its performance off the field.
“There are some causes for concern, such as the steep percentage rises in operating expenses generally, and staff costs in particular.”
However, he said that while the share price would inevitably be affected by the on-field performance, “there is no sign of the Manchester United marketing machine beating a retreat”.
On Thursday shares in the business, which are listed on New York’s Nasdaq stock exchange, were up 2.4% in midday trading there

Drunk For Jesus: Christian Churches Offer Free Beer To Attract New Members

Posted by Unknown 0 komentar
With mainline religious congregations dwindling across America, a scattering of churches is trying to attract new members by creating a different sort of Christian community. They are gathering around craft beer.

Some church groups are brewing it themselves, while others are bring the Holy Mysteries to a taproom. The result is not sloshed congregants; rather, it's an exploratory approach to do church differently.

Leah Stanfield stands at a microphone across the room from the beer taps and reads this evening's gospel message.

She's a 28-year-old leasing agent who's been coming to Church-in-a-Pub here in Fort Worth, Tex., for a year, and occasionally leads worship.

"I find the love, I find the support, I find the non-judgmental eyes when I come here," she says. "And I find friends that love God, love craft beer."

Every Sunday evening, 30 to 40 people gather at Zio Carlo brewpub to order pizza and pints of beer, to have fellowship, and have church — including communion.

Pastor Philip Heinze and his Calvary Lutheran Church sponsor Church-in-a-Pub, whose formal name is the Greek word, Kyrie.

Some patrons are understandably confused. They come in for a brew and there's a religious service going on in their bar. They expected Trivia Night and they get the Holy Eucharist.

"I tell 'em, it's a church service," says bartender Les Bennett, "And they're, like, 'In a pub?' And I'm, like, yeah. Some of 'em stick around for trivia, some of 'em take off, some of 'em will hang out and have another pint or two."

That's one of the objectives: A guy sits at the bar nursing a beer, he overhears the Gospel of Luke, he sees people line up to take bread and wine, he gets curious. Phil Heinze says pub church has now become an official — if edgy — Lutheran mission.

"I'm not interested, frankly, in making more church members," Heinze. "I'm interested in having people have significant relationships around Jesus. And if it turns out to be craft beer, fine."

For most of the folks who attend regularly, this is their Sunday night congregation. Church leaders, initially skeptical, are now paying attention. Last month, the regional council of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America named Church-in-a-pub a Synodically Authorized Worshipping Community. Next year, it will call a young pastor to expand the idea to other taverns around Dallas-Fort Worth.

"I think the institutional church now is getting onboard," says Heinze, "because there's a lot of anxiety frankly about the church's decline and they're trying to think outside of that institutional box."

In downtown Portland, Ore., at the stately old First Christian Church, one Saturday night a month they open the parish hall for an event called Beer and Hymm

There must be 100 people here tonight, most of them young, the kind you rarely see in church on Sunday morning. They're swigging homemade stout from plastic cups — with a two-beer limit. They're singing traditional hymns from a projection screen like Be Thou My Vision. And they're having way too much fun.

Like the crowd at Church-in-a-pub, a lot of folks at Beer & Hymns appear to be refugees from traditional churches.

Between hymns, people can stand up and say anything they want. Jolie Shempert, a transgender person who's studying humanities at Portland State University, steps up to the mike.

Shempert was raised in a strict church that taught that animals don't have souls, only people do. But Shempert's beloved dog, Gunner, has just died.

"I want to sing this song in defiance of that because Gunner was my friend. And he has emotions and a personality and I had a relationship with him that's as real as any relationship I had with any human being."

The Christian Church Disciples of Christ — a small mainline Protestant denomination — has experienced a steep drop in membership in recent decades. Beer & Hymns is one attempt to attract new people, in this hip, beer-loving city, while keeping a safe distance away from stained-glass windows.

Rodney Page is optimistic. The 78-year-old is a long-time member of First Christian Portland and a Beer & Hymns convert.

"I know that initially there were some people who had some trepidation," says Page. "This church has had a history and background of being anti-alcohol, so it took some convincing for some people. But eventually people went ahead with it and it's been a great success."

No one is suggesting that Beer & Hymns or Church-in-a-Pub — or any of the dozens of other beer-in-church events that are popping up around the nation — are permanent. They're transitional experiments.

Amy Piatt is senior pastor at First Christian Church Portland. She's a sixth-generation Disciple of Christ and the originator of Beer & Hymns. She says in this postmodern age, what it means to attend church is changing.

"It's probably, in the very near future, not going to be at 10 am on Sunday morning wearing your best shoes and tie or dress," she says. "It's going to be something different. I mean, what that is, we are still finding out, we're still learning together. But it's still holy, God is still there, and that's what's most important."

To doubters, the Beer & God crowd has this pop quiz. What was the first miracle Jesus performed? Turning water into wine.

Jay Z and Beyonce close to breaking up”

showbiz_beyonce_jay_z_1
Star Magazine don come again ohhh!! This time, Star magazine is claiming that entertainment’s number 1 couple – Jay Z and Beyonce, might break up due to the pressures of touring.
Read Below on how they report it: -From Star Magazine
Things seem to have taken a rocky turn for the seemingly happily married couple. Beyonce, 32, is reportedly thinking about taking a break from her marriage because she thinks Jay is being “selfish” and not putting his family first.
While Beyonce was in Australia for her Mrs. Carter tour, Jay Z visited her and the two lovebirds took a mini 3-day vacation to a private resort to spend some quality time together. But apparently it was more than just a relaxing trip.
“Jay Z’s early November trip to Australia was not just a family getaway, it was a last-ditch effort to keep his marriage afloat,” an insider told Star.
“Jay Z’s decision to tour Europe at the same time as Beyoncé is touring Australia has caused serious damage to their relationship — damage that may be ultimately prove to be irreparable.”
Though the source says Bey didn’t have an issue with Jay, 43, going on tour with Justin Timberlake over the summer, she assumed that he would at least take the initiative to accompany her and their 19-month-old daughter, Blue Ivy, on tour in Australia and New Zealand – instead of going clubbing all the time.
“Not only did he plan the tour without consulting her at all, but he didn’t even try to coordinate dates with her tour. She told him he was selfish.”

Former Borno state governor, Senator Ali Modu Sherrif has added another airplane to his fleet with his latest acquisition being a new Gulfstream jet G650 model that cost him an estimated $72 million (N11.5 billion) and topped the chart of top 10 private jet owners in Nigeria.

Registered in Dubai with special specifications, the aircraft is the fourth in his fleet, as he already has three old Dornier aircraft which he acquired from Aero Contractors at an estimated $3 million (N480 million).

The actions of the former governor, who has been alleged to fund the terrorist Boko Haram sect in North-eastern Nigeria, on the new aircraft, has been described by a Nigerian pilot as unpatriotic.

According to him, by registering the aircraft overseas, Sheriff had denied Nigeria taxes and import duty on the aircraft.

No Nigerian pilot or engineer would also be employed to operate or work on the aircraft because with the foreign registration, only pilots and engineers licensed in the United Arab Emirates would be authorised to operate and service the aircraft.

“By registering the aircraft overseas, he has avoided tax and import duty, which he should pay to a country where he is a citizen and from which he made the money which he now spends on a foreign crew,” he said.

According to US-based Forbes magazine, the Gulfstream G650 has an order book of 200 customers throughout the world.

Gulfstream described the aircraft as ultra-high-speed, ultra-long-range business jet and the gold standard in business aviation.

The model was introduced in 2008 with a capacity for eight passengers and a crew of four on nonstop legs of 7,000 nautical miles (12,964 km) for standard configuration.

“That means it will link Dubai with New York and London with Buenos Aires. With its powerful Rolls-Royce BR725 engines, the G650 will cover shorter distances at a speed of Mach 0.925.

No traditional business jet will take you closer to the speed of sound,” Gulfstream said on its website.

Actress Yvonne Okoro appears unperturbed about the public backlash she received for the dress she wore to the last African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), which gave a good view of her séxy cleavage.
The beautiful actress, who is known for wearing dresses or clothes that cover her séxy and vital parts, has disclosed to a closed source that she would not hesitate to wear the same style any day.
She indeed got the whole of Africa talking about her dress for over a week when she popped up at the 2012 edition of the AMAA awards in her black Jovani dress that revealed her tempting cleavage. She amazed people who knew that wasn’t her usual style.
It is almost a year now and media guns are still talking about the dress and wondering if she would repeat it in case she makes it to this year’s AMAA.
Before now, she had hinted that she won’t hesitate to show bóóbs on ‘Fashion 101’ TV show and that she decided to vary her style – the reason for wearing the dress to last year’s AMAA. “Give me another colour and I will rock it,” she added.

Brazilian Wins 2013 Miss Bum Bum Competition

A 25-year-old model with a 42-inch bottom has been crowned Brazil’s new Miss Bum Bum.
Dai Macedo, who represented the central state of Goias in the nationwide search for the woman with the most bodacious b*tt in all of Brazil, was chosen from among 15 finalists by the contest’s grand jury in Sao Paolo this week.
“It’s a lot of work, a lot of devotion,” Macedo told Agence France-Presse by way of an interpreter. “I denied myself a lot of things. No nightclubs. No sweets. I went to the gym Saturdays and Sundays.”
The sacrifice is well worth it. Miss Bum Bum winners become instant celebrities in Brazil, and receive a fortune in endorsements.
But the glamor comes with its share of drama. Earlier this year, a columnist for Brazilian newspaper O Dia accused Miss Bum Bum contestants Mari Sousa and Eliana Amaral of bribing judges in attempts to win.
In a note published in October, well in advance of the winners being announced, the newspaper reported that Sousa had secured top honors by paying thousands of dollars to judges. It also claimed Amaral paid $32,000 to judges and would come in second.
Those ethically suspect predictions did not pan out (although Amaral was awarded third place), but even the future bum-bum queen became embroiled in the scandal at the time. Angered by the accusations, Macedo joined other contestants in lashing out against corruption in Miss Bum Bum via social media, according to News.co.au.
Macedo distanced herself from the outburst after winning the competition.
“I’m all emotional. I didn’t expect to win,” Macedo said, according to News.co.au. “All hell broke loose on social media sites but now I can say the contest was real

Arsenal fan in Uganda left homeless after losing bet on Manchester United game

Posted by Unknown 0 komentar
A Ugandan Arsenal fan and his family have paid a heavy price for a misguided wager after Manchester United ran out 1-0 winners over the Gunners at the weekend

Betting on football matches has long been an integral part of the game for supporters but Henry Dhabasani's attempts to 'make things a little more interesting' have had dire consequences.

Dhabasani, of the Iganga district of Eastern Uganda, has lost his home as a result of Manchester United's 1-0 victory over Arsenal on Sunday after a high-stakes wager with a neighbour.

Fellow local and United fan Rashid Yiga put up his car and wife as collateral in the deal, emerging the victor on the back of Robin van Persie's 27th-minute header at Old Trafford.

Community members and leaders were present as the two men signed a written agreement in the build-up to the encounter between the Premier League leaders and stuttering title-holders.

Dhabasani, who has three wives and five children, was so distraught at full-time that he reportedly fainted.

And on Monday the misguided Gunner was forcibly removed from his home by United supporters along with his family, leaving him homeless.

If he needed another reason to despise Van Persie after the Dutchman's defection to Old Trafford in the summer of 2012, he surely now has one.

ASUU/NEC Meeting Postponed Till SATURDAY

Posted by Unknown Rabu, 13 November 2013 0 komentar
Already, chairmen of local chapters of ASUU are converging on Kano, preparatory to the meeting, from where a positive resolution is being expected. Chairman of one of the federal universities in the South-South, who did not want his name mentioned, said the strike “may be suspended on Saturday.”
“Many of the chapters are disposed to ending this strike, which has cost us all a full semester. “As I speak with you, we (chairmen) are on our way to Kano for NEC meeting tomorrow (today).” Asked if the strike would be suspended, he said: “I think so, judging by reports from the Monday congresses we held simultaneously. We may suspend the strike on Saturday or Sunday.”
He, however, admonished government to ensure that it honoured its promise so as not to return the university system to this “sorry past”. This, of course, formed the basis for the Monday congresses and today’s “decider” NEC meeting.
Festus Iyayi
The Kano meeting is to deliberate on whether to call off the strike as the NEC receives reports of the congresses that held “simultaneously” in all the universities across the country. Local chapters of ASUU had held their congresses on Monday to vote on the suspension or otherwise.
The said agreement, which necessitated the subsisting July 1 action, required that the Federal Government will, within a period of five years, release more than N1trn, to bridge the noticeable infrastructural deficits in the nation’s ivory towers. Also, the Federal Government would have released N92bn, for what the union christened, “earned allowance.”
However, ASUU seems to have a moral burden now as the Federal Government said it had released over N30bn as part of the contentious earned allowance. Last week’s meeting of the Fagge-led ASUU with President Jonathan at the Presidential Villa, prompted positive steps by ASUU towards ending the strike.
At the meeting, President Jonathan was said to have pledged government’s readiness to release N220bn in next year’s budget and in subsequent appropriations.
Meanwhile, the University of Jos, UNIJOS, chapter of the union explained its support for the continuation of the ongoing strike. After considering the outcome of the meeting which the union’s national body had with President Jonathan, members of the branch had last Monday voted in favour of the continuation of the four month- old strike.
The UNIJOS branch of ASUU said the meeting with the President achieved nothing, a position which had also been condemned by some stakeholders The Branch Chairman, Dr. David Jangkham, said yesterday in Jos, the Plateau State capital, that his members were compelled to take the stand because of the government’s insensitivity to their plight.
